I’ve been a fan of TOMS Shoes for about a decade now. This was before Whole Foods started to carry them in all their stores. I happened to work across the street from their headquarters at the time, and a co-worker asked me to go with her during lunch. They were having a warehouse sale, and I was immediately hooked.

The shoes are super comfy and easy to slip on and off. But what I really love about TOMS is their ethos. For every pair of shoes that’s purchased, they donate another pair to someone in need. So when I heard about this Disney x TOMS Shoes Cinderella Collection, I was super excited to check it out!

It’s sadly not often that you find pop culture designs available in eco-friendly products. So having the chance to buy something that was both from an ethical fashion company (TOMS) and my favorite pop culture fun house (Disney), is about as rare for me as getting struck by lightening.

The designs all looked so cute online, I ended up getting 5 different styles for myself and my daughter. When the shipment arrived and I started opening up the boxes, they looked even cuter in person! It occurred to me that other people might want to see what they looked like too. So kind of on a lark I decided to do my first ever unboxing video! This Disney x TOMS video (keep scrolling) is also only the second one I’ve ever done for the Eco Friendly Mama YouTube channel. (The first was for my Endangered Species Day post). And I honestly did this take without any rehearsal or even much forethought. My hands were shaking and I said “um” 100 times too many. Somehow made it through to the end without majorly flubbing a word.

Even more astounding, over on Google, my video is the NUMBER ONE video result when you search “Disney X TOMS unboxing” or “unboxing Disney X TOMS.” It’s also the #1 result for “Disney TOMS unboxing” and “unboxing Disney TOMS.”

 

I am shook!

 

 

 

Of course this may change by the time I wake up in the morning, but just knowing I ranked at the top of Page 1 for even a millisecond is thrilling. And a huge boost of encouragement for a relatively new blog like Eco Friendly Mama.
