5 Inspiring Quotes For An Eco-Friendly Life

on
September 24, 2018

My dad started a tradition many years ago. Every day, he sends me an email with one inspiring quote. What began as a simple daily email of inspiring quotes to me (and only me) has since grown to include a CC list of nieces, grandchildren’s babysitters, step-brother-of-son-in-laws, and more. The subjects cover every topic imaginable. The authors range from ancient philosophers to modern day pop stars. But the quotes are always interesting, witty, and insightful. These wise words are ultimately motivating in some way.

So when I started posting to my Eco Friendly Mama Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest, I thought it’d be fun to incorporate the best of these quotes. Some apply to my efforts to being an eco-friendly human. Some apply to writing and my attempts to keep blogging even when life with two young kids takes up all my time and energy.

But it occurred to me that some of you reading my blog posts here may not also be following me on social media. If you’d like to see these quotes as soon as they’re posted, I would love for you to follow my social media! You can do so by clicking one or all of the following: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. You can also click on the social icons under my Author’s Box in the sidebar, or any of the boxes with my social media content. I always follow back anyone who appears to be a real person (not a bot) and isn’t trying to sell me something.

That said, if you’re not on any of these social media channels, I don’t want you to miss out on these inspiring quotes!

So I’ll be sharing links to those wise words here on my blog in time-delayed batches when I have time. They really are wonderful and I think you’ll find that they can apply to whatever situation you may be facing at the moment – be it embracing a sustainable lifestyle, finding inspiration to tackle a difficult task, or staying motivated during a challenging time.

So, without further ado, here are the first five quotes in this series. Enjoy!

It took a lot of courage for me to start Eco Friendly Mama. I've never been an entrepreneur type person. I'm not super comfortable with self promotion. But every day now, whether I'm writing a post, or tending to my social media, or learning new blogging skills, or just generally putting myself out there in the service of this crazy idea which for years I was too afraid to act on, I think of this quote. 💚 . . . #inspirationalquotes #inspirationalquote #momblog #momblogger #mommyblog #mommyblogger #motivationalquotes #motivationalquote #ruthgordon #ecofriendlymama #couragequotes #couragequote #quoteoftheday #quoteoftheweek #quoteoftheweek❤️ #mompreneur #famousquote #famousquotes #blogwithheart

I came across this @picturesoftext quote in the @nytimes recently, and it really struck a chord with me! . Life is too short to put effort into something you don't care about. And if you care strongly about something, the way I care about being eco-friendly, then you want everyone to care about it too. . So if you're feeling a little lost today, I hope this helps you stay focused on your goals! . . . #motivationalmonday #blogwithheart #ecomom #ecofriendlymama #motivationalquote #wisewordsoftheday #wisewords #newblogger #bloggingwithpurpose #momblog #mommyblog #mommyblogger #momblogger #inspirationalquote #inspirationalquoteoftheday #quoteoftheday #quoteoftheweek #famousquote #whyidowhatido #theoffice #theofficeus
